"Mistakes are going to happen along the way.  Progress and growth are essential, because nobody is perfect..." - Daniel James (The Jack Daniels Podcast)

As the executive producer and editor for The Jack Daniels Podcast, it was brought to my attention that some parts of episode two were a little too personal or inappropriately shared. While I take full responsibility for the words that I speak and the content that I create, I understand that when we are sharing real, honest stories from our lives, we will need to be more mindful of how others could potentially perceive what was said.

After some feedback from local church leaders, we have made the decision to remove the podcast episode and re-edit it prior to it being released and shared.  For those listening, please note that we have a very firm position on honor and integrity in how we operate - The Gentleman Code - was not honored to the fullest extent, and to the people who were hurt by our episode, we are very sorry for that, and have spoken with a few very generous ladies and leaders who will further review the episode prior to it being released again (and also will be consulted on other episodes that could be a bit uncomfortable).

**Full Disclaimer**

We do not want to make fluffy, generic, vague, and uninspired content that panders to the easily-offended, and I am learning more every day about honoring others in the words I speak; however, I believe that the stories in our lives, and the lives of those around us have incredible potential if they are to be shared properly, and there is no benefit from pretending or censoring the content in an efforts to appease those who may not like what is shared.

Decisions like removing or changing an episode will be strongly considered if something truly is best not to be public, but in this modern age, the reality stands that nothing is secret, and we should not shy away from the truths - even those difficult truths - but we will not force someone to come out with their truth or their story before they are ready, and that is why this episode has been changed.  What we choose to do with our own stories remains our sole decision.

I genuinely believe that the Cancel-Culture is an extremely toxic element of our current generation, but there's a difference between being #cancelled and understanding when accountability for our actions means that we must change for the greater good.  Updating episode two is a change for the greater good!

Stay tuned for re-release, and join us Thursdays for new episodes!  Episode 3: From Pain to Recovery is going to be quite the episode...
